“If I am not chosen would I even care about being saved?”
Most of us are too afraid to ask ourselves these questions or have such a yearning to know, love and build a relationship with God. When was the last time you had asked the question: Do you desire to know God? To love him and honour Him? Bless Joy, the lady in this video, for asking those questions to John Macarthur.
What John McArthur points out is so profound - we can’t begin to build a connection with God through Christ if we don’t have the desire to be obedient to His laws, nor the support of others around us to help build our relationship with God.
Throughout my ongoing journey towards knowing God and repenting for the bad decisions I’ve made in my life, I have found it hard to relate with people I have known for a long time. Where I am trying to make healthier, regenerative choices in my life, they are set in their ways making unhealthy choices, acting as a law unto themselves. This is why having the right community around me to share with has been so nourishing.
